Grieving Mother

This is a memorial sculpture for dead soldiers (I can’t find the actual name of it anywhere. If you know, be so kind as to leave a comment), in Berlin. It depicts a mother with her dead son.

I found Berlin to be quite an emotional city. There are still a lot of memories from the war lingering and as a visitor it is hard to not be moved by them.

This sculpture had a particularly strong effect on me.
