Venice is an interesting place to visit. Yes, absolutely it is more amazing and grand than you could expect. The architecture and culture is unique and historic. But it can be tempered, in the summer months, by the seas of tourists that must be skirted. And the hefty expenses involved.

Still, it is a must. My recommendations are to do some brief research on the master artworks that are viewable in the cities galleries, before arriving if that’s your thing. Also, do not attend immediately after a German beer festival. The stress on your body and psyche is too intense for comfort.

Anyway, this photo should make a good wallpaper, especially for those of you with dual monitors.
